Now am having my web design 2 and m project is "handling" Mcdonald's website.
And so I did some analysis and research on the competitors website.
First, A&W.
The thing I first found out about this website that is different from Mcdonald's website is that there is a " Find an outlet" button which I can't find it in Mcdonald's website. For me I think this is a previlage for the company and it will me much easier for the people to find out the location of the restaurant.
Other than doing just delivering...there is catering! But Mcdonald's only in charge on delivering. And there are more informations about the whole delivering and catering.
Second, KFC.
In KFC website I found something that is quite hard to find in Mcdonald's website or not there.
There is always a "home" and "contact us" button on the top right corner which you can't find it in Mcdonald's website because they do not have "contact us".
Another thing that Mcdonald's doesn't have is the "join us" page.
This allows the members to get latest information easily from KFC which also brings big big privilage for KFC.
Third, Carl's Jr.
In Carl's Jr website you can also see on the top right hand corner is the search bar and the "sign up" button. The thing that is different from KFC and A&W is that it is placed on the header where you could always sees it. This also made everything easier and faster.
But the bad thing and Carl's Jr website is that there are too many informations everywhere and it makes everything quite complicated and hard to find or concentrate on the informations.
Forth, Burger King.
In Burger King's website there is something more on it's header. There is a "faq" and "careers" button. This allows people to stay in contact more easily and getting information more clearly. Having the " careers " button allow people to get more information and oputunities about the work.
But the bad thing about the website is its design. There are too many squarish parts and it will seem too boring for children.
That's all for the website analysis and please don't get me wrong, this is my personal opinion and I believe everyone has their own thoughts. And I myself is a person that will die without fast food.
